Summary:
To summarise our findings we found out that FIFA is the most popular football game which is why we decided to base our game with the name 'Fifa' so it would be more recognizable and would therefore sell more, making more money. Fifa is an established brand within the games industry which would suggest why it got the most votes on our survey. We would focus on the game play of our game which is why we decided to include features like online modes, manager modes, create your own player, making your own legends team and career modes. We decided this as our results showed us that 90% of our audience were more concerned with the game play of the game rather than the graphics.  Our game would cost between £30 and £40, this is around the average for a new game release and our results show this is the price range people would be prepared to pay. According to our results 90% of people say the cover for our game should contain players that are featured in the gameplay, therefore we will be using 2 or 3 players from the game to feature on the front of our game. When asked about the music for the game, our audience returned with mixed results, the majority wanted Rap and R&B, with some opting for rock or just a general mixture of music. This was very helpful to us and left us with many different options to use various different types of music within our game and its adverts.
The age rating for our game was 3+, this was made apparent from our survey as 50% opted for this age bracket, this could be to make the game open to a large range of people but at the same time the game has little to no violence and the only language used will be the commentary so it is very normal day to day vocabulary.Within our questionnaire we asked what legends should we put in the game, we got a wide range of results but the common players that came up are shown in the results section above. There was a mixed result for what features we should put in the game out of 'build your own legend', 'real life scenarios', 'legend XI' and 'build your own dream team' so due to this mixed response and because there was no out right favourite we will probably put most if not all of these features in the game to please everyone. This was similar to the results we got for the colour schemes, there was no favourite colour scheme, the Fifa colour scheme was the favourite which was to be expected but there was still some votes for black, red and white. This could have been because lots of teams play in these colours so they are very recognisable to an audience.
Finally we asked which 'legendary teams' should be included seen as the title is 'Fifa Legends'. We got similar results to that of the player related question, lots of different suggestions were put forward but the common themes surrounded Spain's current team, Brazil 1970’s team, the Barcelona team of 2011 and the England 1966 world cup winning team. This was a very good response as it was very varied and not just focused on either old teams or recent teams.
